Happy Birthday to
Miss Savannah.
She turned 3 years old today.
We threw a little birthday party yesterday
to celebrate with lots of extended family
(which is something new for us).
We got out all of the sports gear, bubbles, bikes
and the big trampoline
and had fun eating hamburgers and hot dogs
while playing outside, on the swing set,
in the sandbox, and with the animals.
The weather was cool and very windy,
but we all survived and at least there was no rain.
The wind was actually quite handy
when it came to blowing bubbles--
all you had to do was raise the wand in the air
and a million bubbles would come out.
We sang over cupcakes to Savannah
but Grandpa had a hard time keeping the candles lit,
so we had to light them up a few times
in order for Savvy to blow them out.

She was hysterical opening her presents...
she'd get super excited and gasp
every time she opened an envelope
or when she opened a box and would only see tissue paper--
and then she would be even more excited
when she would actually see the gift.

We're so thankful for all of the fun things she received!
P.S. Vanessa tried most of the gifts out too and
definitely approved (especially the cupcakes)!
Today was a relatively normal day,
except that we've sung Happy Birthday and blown out candles
on pancakes, quesadillas and a Reese peanut butter cup.
We've been playing with new toys all morning.
The #3 shirt was washed so that it could be worn again today.
Our plan to go to the state fair this evening was foiled
by pouring rain, but we made do...
by going to Kangaroo Zoo.

Savannah fell asleep tonight as one happy 3 year old.

YEA!!! Happy Birthday Savvy! Glad to see that you had a super awesome party.
I can't believe she is already three. I remember meeting her when she was under one. You did a great job on her shirt and her flower. She looks adorable.
So cute!
