Vanessa's Blessing Day

We had lots of company this weekend as we blessed Vanessa on Sunday in church. Here's a play-by-play recap.

1. 4th of July pancake breakfast at the church
2. Swimming to beat the heat
3. BBQ dinner and playing the Wii
4. Playing with glowsticks and watching fireworks at the park
5. Seeing Wall-E
6. Playing in the fountains at Westgate. Everyone was wet-- parents included-- by the end of the adventure.

7. Watching the Diamondbacks lose (at least the stadium was air-conditioned)

8. Blessing Vanessa during Sacrament meeting. Vanessa is such a sweet little girl and we are thankful that she was sent to our family. I'm sure that she'll do big things during her life and bring happiness to so many people. It was very neat to have Eric bless her with so many family and friends in the circle.

9. Playing, playing and playing
10. Visiting Encanto Park. There are no lines when you go at 8:00 p.m... and slurpies make everyone happy at 9:45 p.m.

11. Cooling off at the splash park. Savannah loved holding Porter's hand all the time. What a nice cousin! 12. Shopping (while Eric and Dan watched the kids)
13. Sleepover in Savannah's room. We could still hear the kids yelling and laughing at 10:00.

Thanks to all who ventured out here and dealt with the heat for our little family. We miss everyone already.

What fun! Your fam is so supportive-glad you got to have more visitors. I'm still up for a playdate one of these days if you are.

Oh heavens no... I can't sew like that! Savannah's dress was bought and Vanessa's was made by my grandma. Sewing is definitely one of those things that I am not so good at... I need lessons and a lot of practice.
