This last week has been busy, but only because I made it that way. I've been working on a handful of projects and in the midst of them, I decided to add a few more to my list. My thoughts are random... but here they are.
1. Savannah is literally obsessed with Vanessa. She loves to hug and kiss her. When she wants to be picked up now, she asks for a hug. How can you say no to that?

2. Vanessa laughed on Saturday. It was quite funny to hear but I haven't been able to get her to do it again since. (p.s. can you tell she's growing?)

3. Vanessa puts herself to sleep now which is wonderful. There were a few days last week that I thought I was going to pull my hair out because she wanted to be held to go to sleep and I wanted to do something else. I rock and sing to her now and then put her in her bed-- she's asleep within 5 minutes.
4. We have a hitter now. When Savvy gets frustrated she hits and when she want something that someone else has, she just grabs it. Arg.

5. It's hot here. After being out for a few hours on Tuesday, we had to come home and strip down to just diapers until the girls were cooled off. I still love the heat but I feel bad for my girls in their car seats when we drive.

6. Vanessa is quite good at holding her head up. She practices for a few minutes every day in her new bumbo (thanks sisters).

7. I decided in a moment of insanity that it would be so fun to have my girls' scrapbooks updated for when our family visits this weekend for Vanessa's blessing. That means I would have to finish MANY pages for Savvy's book and START Vanessa's book. There's no way I am realistically going to finish, but I have made a small dent.
8. While we were reading "The Friend" today, Savvy came up with the idea herself to look for pictures of Jesus. For a few minutes I thought, "Yeah, we're doing something right!"
9. We're really excited to have family visit this weekend. Before they come I need to finish up some laundry, put away my scrap stuff, clean my carpet (Eric walked through the whole house with dirty shoes), go grocery shopping, finish some 4th of July decorations, clean up the house, etc, etc, etc.
You know me... I always have a long list of things I want to do. Here's hoping that I'll actually do them!!

Cute pictures! I just love the hitting stage...Anthony got over it quickly..i hope savvy does too! Good luck with all you have to do and with the baby blessing.
Well even though Savannah grabs/hit (I haven't witnessed it yet) she and Haylie seem to be playing well, or Haylie is good at following Savvy around.
I really hope you get through your self induced project madness, but maybe just the necessities first then all your wonderful craftiness. GOOD LUCK. If I were going to be here I would be a willing helper :o)
