It's only 1:00 in the morning, but I'm uploading some pictures so I might as well update our blog with all of the exciting adventures we've been having. Let's get started...
Savvy got a new bike a few weeks ago. I don't think that I've ever seen a child so happy as she was when she finally got to ride it at 9:30 p.m. It took dad a little while to put it together since she was helping him with the tools. It has a cool handle so we can push her along and steer anytime we want. Eventually it'll come off and Savvy will be able to ride all by herself.

Eric's knee surgery went really well on May 19. For 5 days straight he basically sat in this chair and rested, trying not to move around too much before we headed to CA. It was the perfect set-up for me... just drop the baby in his lap and get something done. What a great babysitter! Savvy has loved having her daddy home nonstop. They've played together a lot and I can already tell we're going to have a hard time here when he has to go back to work.

I decided to get some stickers for Savannah to see how she liked them and they were a hit! On the first day we drew a picture and put fish stickers on the page. After that, Savvy only wanted to put stickers on those particular pages... no need for more paper. So... 426 stickers rest on these two pages.

Melissa and Dave's wedding on May 29 was perfect. It was so neat to be in the temple with all of my family (except for Dan... he was outside babysitting all the kids). Melissa looked beautiful. Here's the new couple:

Savvy wasn't really in the mood to hold her sister. Vanessa wasn't really in the mood either.

The reception and more pictures (in Melissa's wedding colors) were on the following day. Savvy and Vanessa did a pretty good job posing for the photographer, but didn't really feel like posing for me after.

The rest of the week was spent playing!! Savvy had a blast playing with her cousins inside and outside. We did plenty of swimming and Savvy loved to play in the spraying water from the slip'n'slide.

Kaiya and Savvy. My tall girl is 3 months younger than Kaiya. These two somehow got a huge bag of cereal outside without anyone seeing. They enjoyed their snack as they ran around the grass.

Our family of 20.

Kaiya loved to play with Vanessa. I think she needs her own little sister... And yes, I am a horrible mother. Vanessa's face is sunburned. She was bright red by that evening and her cheeks peeled a few days later.

Enjoying the Dodger game.

Another attempt at getting 7 grandkids and grandma to smile for the camera. Savvy laughed and yelled as loud as she could the whole time.

I have one adventurous, daring girl. Nothing scares her-- and I'm only hoping that she learns to be a little careful eventually.

Savannah thankfully waited until after the wedding to bruise her face. She fell down two steps and landed on the hard laundry room floor this time.

And only an hour later, she decided to dive into the bathtub and hit her head. She wasn't too thrilled to be wet this time.

Once we got home, Savvy decided that she needed new sandals that didn't hurt her feet and "Ring around the Rosies" is her new favorite song. She is talking up a storm, saying a few new words everyday.

And the most exciting news of all (drum roll please): Vanessa sleeps through the night!!! She really is the perfect baby.
