It's so nice to not be pregnant. At this same time last week, I was hopelessly having contractions that progressed nicely all day and then stopped. I was sure that I was never going to have this baby. Yet, here she is... 6 days old.

We're doing really well at home. It was great to have my mom visit for the week. She happily took Vanessa in the night after I fed her and was up and watching cartoons with Savannah every morning. Our fridge and pantry are stocked with food and snacks too... I don't know what I would do without her. She headed home today and she will definitely be missed!!!

Vanessa is doing really well. She's eating well and is so content. She's dealt with Savvy's yelling and torture for almost a week now, so there's hope that she'll survive the rest of her life. Here are the latest pictures of her... it seems like she changes every day.

She always wiggles one hand out of the blanket, no matter how tight we wrap her up.Our little blondie
Vanessa seems to be so much smaller than Savvy was as a newborn. To see how tiny she really is:
This afternoon, Savannah kept trying to get as close as she possibly could to my mom and just talked like crazy. No one knows what she was saying, but I'm pretty sure she was trying to convince my mom to take that baby home with her.

My mom made lasagna one night... and Savvy had to have it for lunch every day after that. Yum Yum.
This picture was actually taken last week, but it's just too funny. Eric was listening to the MP3 player and decided to share one of the earphones with Savvy. She spent the rest of the afternoon playing with her toys and listening to Primary songs.

looks like you know what to get Savannah for her 2nd birthday. Kids these days are so high tech... she'd fit right in with an MP3 player...
and Vanessa IS SO CUTE. no that isn't right. she is PRETTY.
I told you Savvy had good practice of being a sister with Haylie... maybe I should have worked on quiet voice? New Baby initiation :-)

I love that picture of Vanessa smiling. It always makes me wonder what in their life has been so funny for them to smile and laugh. I know people say it's gas, but I always like to think that it's because she's so content. She definitely looks content in your family. She's gorgeous.

What an adorable baby. I also love the picture where she looks like she is smiling, it's so sweet. Seeing her kind of makes me want another one...oh no!

I love the picture of Eric holding Vanessa on his lap with her sound asleep and not a care in the world. Love the pics.

Aren't moms great? The other day I was talking to my mom about how lucky I was that my babies never had any trouble going right back to sleep in the night after I fed them (when they used to wake up). She laughed and said that they were good but that they weren't always pros at going back to sleep. I had no idea becuase for the first couple of weeks, she would take them in the night after I fed them. I love moms that are so helpful and do so much more than you could ever imagine they could get done while helping with new babies. We're both pretty lucky.

I love the pictures of your girls. Savvy looks like a great helper and Vanessa is such a pretty baby.
