I tried out a new craft, which was so easy that I made at least 60 of them one morning while the girls watched some cartoons. I love how they turned out! All of them are in the shop now!

Project of the Week #20
My quest to complete unfinished projects and clean out the craft space continues...
1. Used fabric from the stash to make a baby blanket.
2. Cut up most of my fabric stash (yes, the stash I've carried from Arizona to Utah to California to Colorado) to make 2 blankets to cuddle up with on the couch. The girls can't wait for these to get back from the quilter! The colors are kind of crazy, but it was so fun to make these quilt tops. I had so many great memories come back from every single print.

Project of the Week #17
My friend Lindsay and I were chatting about how she wanted to make a quilt for her mom. Somehow, I talked her into heading to the fabric store right then, picking out fabric for a rag quilt and sewing it all together so that she could take it with her on a trip that weekend. The first night we bought and cut the fabric. The next night we laid the whole thing out and got it sewn together. That night and the next morning, I clipped all of the raw edges and Lindsay washed it. And the next day, she took it on her trip to give to her mom. I'm sure she was glad to be my friend that week. She'll be dodging my ideas from now on!

Project of the Week #13
1. I cleaned the house for visitors on Monday, and then cleaned again on Thursday for a second set of visitors. Both are definitely worth noting here. 2. Finally finished the "secret project" which was two table runners made from this adorable bright and happy Moda fabric. I gave one away to my mother and am keeping the other!!! I'm so excited to see it spread across my new kitchen table to remind me of spring and summer. 3. Managed to finally stuff and close up those medical dolls that I started weeks ago.

Project of the Week #12
1. Made 55 pairs (that's 110 individual) felt posies. 2. Made 34 large flowers. 3. Placed 83 pairs of my sister's yo-yo flowers onto tags. 4. Decided to add crayon rolls to my boutique inventory by whipping up 15 of them on the last day of crafting. 5. Had a mini photo shoot with the girls modeling some of the smocks/flowers. 6. Cleaned up the giant mess (I added a teeny-tiny picture of my some of the crafting mess). It was quite the task to get my house back to normal. 7. Collected everything for the boutique... and sold a bunch of what I have been working on all month long.Saturday, March 19, 2011

Project of the Week #9
1. Finished an updated banner, blog button, business cards and tags for my shop (Can you tell I'm getting ready for a big show?) 2. Transformed 2 old shirts into 2 new skirts for the girls. Each one took about 20 minutes and I can't wash them fast enough so that the girls can keep wearing them. The tutorial came from here. 3. Finished 6 more smocks for the shop/upcoming boutique. 4. Made a little baby book for one of Savannah's teachers. We had a baby shower for her today and all of the moms and kids wrote notes to her in it. 5. Bought flannel, washed it, cut it out and finished sewing a baby blanket and burp clothes for said teacher.

Project of the Week #8
I didn't get much done this week. The house got a deep cleaning, though, so that is worth noting. I worked on some Photoshop projects for my little shop. By the end of the week I did sit down and make a few watch bands for fun.

Project of the Week #5
1. I cut all of the smock fabric that I had laying around... some purchased a week before and some purchased months ago. 2. Two smocks were finished and posted in the shop. Savannah was nice enough to model them for me 3. I finished 4 9-patch squares for a baby quilt I'm learning to make with friends. 4. I pieced together a big secret project, which I can't show because the person receiving it would know it was for them.
