I decided to lay down in the girls' room this afternoon
to "hang out" with them while they played.
As soon as I put my head on the pillow,
the girls grabbed their blankets and squished themselves
next to me and my big belly.
They proceeded to cover me up and then to my tired delight,
they started to sing me lullabies.
Savannah's made-up song lasted 7 minutes.
It was a concoction of words to a familiar tune,
but not a single phrase made any sense.
Vanessa's song was also nonsense,
and the only line that I can recall
(because it almost worried me)
was
"I hope that spiders don't eat you."
