The Birthday Girl!

Today my baby turned three years old.

She was so excited for her birthday to come
and we all tried really hard to make it special for her.
We played games and did puzzles all morning,
ate pizza for lunch at the park with dad
and played dress up and princesses all afternoon.
After a great dinner, we opened presents and ate cupcakes.
We finished off the night by watching Tangled...
Vanessa was a happy little girl when she went to bed.Every time I called Vanessa's name today,
she would correct me by saying,
"I'm not Vanessa. I'm the birthday girl."
And she ventured into the kitchen every 30 seconds
while I was frosting cupcakes, exclaiming each time,
"Are those for my birthday?! Thanks, mom."
Vanessa is a very sweet, good-natured girl.
She loves to be happy and have fun.
She likes to make jokes and tease.
She loves to sing, but gets pretty shy when she knows someone is watching her.
She talks non stop if she is comfortable around you.
She is silent if she is not comfortable around you.
She still loves to suck her thumb and carry around her mee.
She pretends to be a princess, mom or dog daily.
She loves to collect rocks and finds a new one every time we go outside.
She can sit for hours doing (and finishing) puzzles.
She loves to wear jewelry, dresses, skirts and the color pink.
She tries really hard to be serious, but usually starts laughing.
She makes me smile all the time.
