Most people know that I am a night owl.
I enjoy staying up late and that is when I am most productive.
Well, on the night before Eric's birthday,
I decided that I would whip up some of his
dinner and dessert requests
so that I wouldn't spend his entire birthday in the kitchen.
I also had the grand idea to make everything
quickly and at the same time
and leave all of the dishes to do at the end
while the homemade apple pie baked for 45 minutes.
Everything was going splendid until I put the pie into the oven.
I piled up the dishes, and turned on the faucet
only to find that the sink was clogged.
I turned on the disposal and ran the water to see if that would help
and it made things much worse!
Water was leaking under the sink and the disposal wasn't working.
Eric had already gone to bed and I didn't think it was smart to
wake him up the night before his birthday.
So,
I pulled everything out from underneath the sink,
grabbed some towels and
got to work.
I pulled all of the pipes apart,
cleaned out some clogs,
and put the whole thing back together again,
fixing whatever problem there was.
Then,
I had to clean under the sink,
start a load of dirty towels in the washing machine,
empty and then load the dishwasher,
wash that mound of pots and pans
and mop the floor.
And then,
I went to bed at 2:20 a.m.
I hope Eric appreciated the spotless kitchen and apple pie.

Wow! I am super impressed. See, if that were me, I would have left everything a mess, made Roland fix the pipe in the morning, and slowly worked on the disaster over the course of the next few days. So, I guess that is why my house is always a pig sty and your house is a spotless beauty. ;)

I'm a total night owl too! I'm very productive late at night for some reason.
However, if that were me and I tried to fix the the clog in our drain, some how Kory would hear me and wake up and get REALLY mad at me for attempting it on my own. Ha!

Wow. I would have made too much noise and woken everybody up for sure. Plus I probably would have flooded the kitchen trying to "fix" it. You are super amazing!
