Vanessa and I headed to the grocery store today
while Savannah was at school.
As we wandered through the produce,
we chatted about all of the foods that Vanessa likes to eat.
Vanessa then whispered to me,
"A Witch."
I replied with, "I'm not rich. Are you rich!?"
She kept repeating, "A witch, a witch."
It wasn't until we wandered into the meat department that
Vanessa pointed and clearly said,
"Look mom, she is a witch."
I turned to find a skinny old lady with
long white hair, glasses
and a black cowboy hat on.
I quickly grabbed the meat I needed and booked it to a new aisle
all while trying to explain that the nice lady was not a witch.
Later I was relaying the story to Eric.
I said to Vanessa,
"What did you see at the grocery store today?"
She got really serious, pounded her hands down on the table,
made her eyes really big and whispered,
"Milk!"

At least she didn't say "Mom, that guy has a big belly" very loudly in front of the man who had the big belly while shopping at the grocery store. Yes, that would have been my child.
That's a great story. The things kids say are so honest it's hilarious. I'm sure we can all relate to the way you were felling while trying to get away as fast as possible. I sure miss those little girls. I'm thinking we need to come and visit!
