was all it took to get Savvy swimming:
I was hoping she would learn fast
but was sure it was going to be a long, painful process.
For a few days I was willing to buy
any and every flotation device
since she wasn't cooperating,
but on Saturday
she let go of some fears
and willingly jumped right in
(literally)
Vanessa has been having a great time in the pool.
She doesn't have any fears
(which is pretty scary sometimes).
She'll jump off of the side to you
before you know to catch her.
Going under doesn't bother her one bit
and she's actually pretty good about kicking her feet.
She's a pro at holding onto the side of the pool
and climbing out too.
As soon as she wakes up in the morning
she's asking if she can go
"wimmin"
and doesn't really accept no for an answer.
Her favorite thing above all is to be
"Snow White."
When we were teaching Savannah to lay on her back in the water,
we told her that she looked like Princess Ariel
with her hair floating in the water.
Well, Vanessa's favorite princess is Snow White,
so she wanted to do the same thing as Savvy,
but look like Snow White instead.
So now, she asks for "No Whi" in the water
and promptly lies down.
She'll completely relax there for a good 2-3 minutes.
If you need us,
we'll be swimming in the pool.

I'm so impressed with Savannah, that's awesome she's swimming already! It looks like you guys are going to have a fun summer enjoying that pool!
That is awesome with Savannah and Vanessa learning so quick to swim! Spencer is our little fearless one and would jump right in the pool if we let him. Good thing for swimming lessons.
