While on a shopping trip back in December
Savannah found a bike that she liked-
no, loved--
no, was obsessed with.
She was sure that she needed this
"sea green" bike.
We told her that she would have to do
lots of work and save her money
to help pay for it.
Well, she worked and saved
(and pan-handled)
for 2 whole months
until she earned $27.44
towards the new bike.
So last night we took her back to the store
and even after trying to show her other bikes that were
a little less "sea green"
she was still set on that one particular bike
that she had remembered every single day
since December.
She took her money up to the cash register
and paid for her portion herself
(grandpa and daddy helped out with the rest).
And then on home, where pajamas were in line
before putting the bike together.
Savvy tried putting some of it together herself
when daddy wasn't working fast enough.
But finally the moment came.
The bike was ready.
Savvy hopped on and was just as happy as could be.
A few rides through the house took place
and then we had to convince Savvy that
the bike needed to go to bed
since it was way past bedtime.
The pit crew stood by:
As soon as Savannah opened her eyes this morning,
she asked if the bike slept good and whether she could ride it.
She's been outside most of the day since.

Now all we need to work on is
proper bike riding attire.
