26

So I had a pre-midlife crisis
in my head the other day
as I thought about being closer to
age 30 than age 20.
I did turn 26 today.

A list started forming in my head
of all of the things I haven't experienced,
haven't seen, haven't tried,
and haven't accomplished.

The ridiculous list kept growing in my head
until I realized that
it doesn't matter because
I'm Happy.
I love my family and they love me back.
I try my best and that's enough and
I just keep going each day.

Happy Birthday to me!

Jenny,

Don't you remember when we use to look forward to our birthdays...and turing another year older? :) You have accomplished soooo much!!! :) You have such a beautiful family, that is better than anything else in the world. And you're happiness shines through! :)

P.S. What's up with all of these kids having nicer phones than the rest of us? I need to join this club! :)

Gotta love getting closer to 30! I think I'll be in denial the rest of my life! It is important that we are happy and that is it! The other things don't really matter as long as we are loved and have people to love! Happy Birthday Jenny!

It's so funny how you see the downfalls in yourself while everyone else marvels at all you get done. I have had your blog up on my computer the last few minutes while I was on the phone and I cannot get enough of all those awesome projects you do (shown in your slideshow). You are the definition of amazing. I hope you really don't downplay yourself.

Glad you're happy. Your family is blessed to have you. Happy, happy birthday!

Happy Birthday. I feel really bad that I missed it. Its going on my calendar right now, so I'll get it right next year.
Turning 26 isn't to bad. But yeah phased that way it makes me realize that I'm getting closer to 30 too. Holy cow, it seems like yesterday and I just wanted to be 20 so people would stop thinking of me as the young one. Who knew one day we would want to go back to those "young" days.
You might think you have a long list but I have to say you are a great mom, and you accomplished a lot. You inspire me.

Happy Birthday! I know I'm late but I did think about you a few times on the actual day, seeing as it's the same as Tim's. I think that you're doing pretty darn well for 26. I turned 30 last month and it was eye-opening but not so bad.

Keep up the great work and have a wonderful 26th year! ;-)
