One of the best things about moving to Herriman
is that fact that there is a new temple just down the road.
The Oquirrh Mountain Temple opens at the end of August
and open houses and visits have been happening since before we got here.
We drive by it at least a few times each week and
Savannah is always on the lookout for it
while we are in the car.
As soon as she sees it, she begins singing
"I love to see the temple."
She's mastered the lyrics and sings so sweetly.
We went as a family to the open house
to see how beautiful the temple is inside.
Eric and I also had the opportunity to serve at the open house one day.
You can definitely feel the spirit there.

Savannah informed me a few days later that
she wanted to go again all by herself.
Once the temple is dedicated,
only members with a temple recommend are invited to come in
so I figured I better get her there while the open house was still going on.
So Vanessa stayed home with grandma
and Savvy and I had a date together
wandering through the halls of a house of the Lord.
The angel Moroni stands on top of the temple spire
heralding the second coming of Jesus Christ.
While Savannah was in the car with her grandma today,
she asked, "when is Jesus coming?"
Grandma wasn't sure of the answer,
so Savannah asked out loud,
"Jesus, when are you coming?"
If only we knew!

Children are so sweet aren't they? Sometimes they aren't even aware of the depth of their comments. We hope you guys are enjoying your new adventures away from the Phoenix heat. :)
I bet you are enjoying having so many temples close by, even down the road! That's one great thing about Utah. It's fun catching up with your family through your blog and pictures. Looks like you're all having a great time! I'm still waiting for news on your ETSY store, I'll be first in line, oops I mean online :)
