1 month

This week marks one month living the state of Utah.
Time is flying by and we have been keeping very busy.
We've unpacked all of the boxes we want
and everyone's rooms are put together.
Eric found a great job working at a Ford dealership,
which is basically the best-case scenario
for the next 6 months
before we head to California to do some BMW training.
All of his tools are in the shop
and he's making money to take care of our family. Our long drive out here was uneventful.
Our only hiccup was a broken windshield on my car
courtesy of a flying rock on the road.
I am going to avoid counting up how much money we spent on gas.
We made it just in time to unload the Uhaul
and drive half-way back
to Lake Powell for a much-needed vacation.Savannah was literally a fish in the water.
She didn't need any help swimming or floating around
and loved taking rides on the wave runners, tubes, and boat.Vanessa also thoroughly enjoyed the water and her cousins.
She was a little concerned watching grandpa ski
and kept a good eye on him.For the 4th of July, we celebrated at home
with fireworks and sparklers.
Savannah didn't care to light anything up
but Vanessa was quite mesmerized. We were able to spend the weekend in Logan also
playing with cousins and siblings.
We did lots of crafts and played baseball at the park.
Savannah hasn't really grasped the idea of running around the bases
and instead runs around in circles
squealing all the way.

Since we've moved to Herriman,
we've spent majority of our time outside.
The girls love to jump on the trampoline,
swing on the swings, and go down the slide.
They have a driveway to ride their bikes on
and a whole subdivision's worth of sidewalks to play on
(with no houses or cars around to get in their way).
We've spent time on tractors and riding lawnmowers,
picking weeds and watering gardens.
Picnic lunches are the new great thing! We've played in the kiddie-pool and
visited a few splash pads and parks. The dog is loving being outside all the time
and has actually lost a bunch of weight from
the increased activity.
And just the other day
a chicken visited the yard and has decided to stay.
Savannah loves to follow it around and feed it
(but don't tell her that grandpa intends to fatten it up!)It's so nice to finally be settled in.

Sounds like fun! I love the country! I thought it was really cool how when you pulled out of your suit (down here in AZ) all you could see was the corn field across the street! Almost tricked you into thinking you weren't in a big smoggy city after all. ; )

I'm so glad that everything has worked out for you guys. What a blessing. It sounds like the best set up ever. Way to go Eric for getting such a great job! Can't wait to play with your girls in a few weeks!

It sounds like you guys are having so much fun. I am so glad that Eric was able to find such a great job, what a blessing. How fun for Savvy to have such a great yard to play in and a chicken, she has got to love that.

I am free most nights and weekends. So far the only set thing we have planned is another camping trip the weekend of the 21st. I think you will need to call me since your number is the one that has changed. Can't wait to get together. We could include Laura. Vanessa and Carter would play well.
