Another doctor's visit done...

Savannah saw the orthopedic doctor today. Her bone is bent, which is the greatest concern to the doctor, but it should reshape itself within the year. Since there is so much padding in a normal short-arm cast that it can be pulled off, he put a full-arm cast on so that she can't take it off herself. We picked purple... more so because it wouldn't show as much dirt as a lighter color. It'll be on for 3 weeks, and then we'll go back to see if any more needs to be done. She screamed... literally screamed bloody murder... the entire time the cast was put on. She cried for her old (now nasty) bandage to be put back on and kept yelling at the doctor to not touch her arm. I'm sure that everyone else at the office wondered what type of torture was going on.

As soon as they were done, she stood up, smiled at the doctor willingly and said "thank you for my new bandage" and was as happy as could be-- dancing around and climbing on everything. The doctor told me to keep her mellow for the next 24 hours while the cast hardens. I said I would try.

Oh I laughed as I read the post. I sure love that little Savvy, she is so spunky. I like the color purple, very cute.

I love the color of the cast. I have a feeling she will keep you going for many years to come.

Savanna is a hoot! With these little ones there's never a dull moment. We'll pray that her bone heals quickly.

Poor Jen! It's always fun as a mom to have your child scream like you are beating them. I can't wait until it happens to me. :)

Sad! Tennille fractured her elbow and had to have a cast one time too. No fun! Her little pesonality crack me up! It's not fun when something like that happens but she does look pretty cute in the cast!
