The short version

We had a wonderful Christmas this year filled with lots of family and fun. Here's a quick recap of some of the things we did. I wasn't diligent in taking pictures with my own camera, so I'll have to get the other 400 from my mom sometime.
1. An attempt at another family picture. My mom's backyard is always so green and the little bench among the flowers is the perfect spot. Too bad my kids (and my husband) don't always cooperate.
2. We decorated grandma's Christmas tree
3. We wandered through Target on the 23rd... man was it a mess!
4. We went to the movies.
5. The boys rode the motorcycles... While he was riding, Eric helped a deranged man back to his car and then ended up calling 911 because he was having some major issues. I'm not exactly sure how things like that always happen to him.
6. We played at the park many times.
7. Christmas Eve was full of fun, games and great food. Savannah read a book about Jesus' birth for everyone. We opened new pajamas and then tried to head for bed so that Santa could come. My brother, Matt, showed up at 1:30 in the morning instead.8. On Christmas morning, all of Savannah's girl cousins arrived as well as their parents. We opened presents and played with all of the new toys. Everyone took a turn playing Guitar Hero. Savannah especially loved to sing.9. Somehow the little girls got outside on Christmas morning while it was raining. Soon all of the girls (sans Vanessa, I wasn't going to have her crawling out there) were jumping in the mud puddles and running through the rain. They had a grand time. Where were all the adults? Standing underneath the patio watching and taking pictures.10. The little girls played to their heart's content all week-- playing on the slide, in the grass, watching movies, playing with the little kitchen, walking the dog, playing with playdough (something I choose not to do at my house).11. The boys went dirtbiking, watched lots of football, played catch and worked on model airplanes.
12. The big girls made hair bows (lots of hair bows), bags, hooded towels, tutus, diaper bags and painted holiday decorations. We also did a little bit of shopping and a lot of playing with the little girls.

Thanks to my mom and dad for hosting us and taking such good care of us. We had a wonderful time and are sad that it came to an end so quickly.

It looks like Christmas and the trip to California was so much fun. Those pictures are super cute. I can't believe how big Savvy is. What cute girls you have.

Sounds like it was a productive and fun trip. You are always so busy making things. You will have to post pics of your crafts and the other blanket you made.

Looks like you had a ton of fun in California, and were very busy. I have to say that my favorite picture is the second one of you as a family and you have your hand over Eric's mouth. So classic Jenny and Eric!!! Love it!!
