6 Months Old

Vanessa turned 6 months old on Monday and I am just now getting to thinking about it. This little lady is the happiest sweetest baby I know. She is quick to smile at anyone, although her biggest smiles are for her momma. She is totally hooked on sucking her thumb. She has started crawling/dragging herself around the family room to get to whatever she wants, including teeny-tiny pieces of food and debris (time to start vacuuming every day again!). She only likes crawling when she has long sleeves and pants on, though, so we've been dressing her a little warmer lately. She'll sit up if she feels like it and has started grabbing at any food that comes remotely near her. She loves to motorboat and talk to us. She is a great sleeper and doesn't even fuss when she wakes up-- just hangs out in her bed until someone notices that she's awake. She loves to watch Savvy and tolerates being sat on and pulled around. She likes to bounce up and down, but do not throw her in the air or let go of her! She has the sweetest little laugh and is ticklish absolutely everywhere. She likes to sit in her bumbo and join me in the kitchen while I cook but I have to move everything that she could possibly grab. She's almost pulled herself right out the chair reaching for things. She's quite determined and confident that she can do whatever she wants. We love her and can't imagine life without her.
