Labor Day Weekend

We had a very different weekend than what we had planned. Our trip to Lake Powell was ruined about 45 miles out of Phoenix by a cracked radiator. The whole ordeal took about 5 1/2 hours to get through, ending with us back at home with our packed bags. We are still incredibly thankful to the Rushes and their willingness to save us.

So Saturday was spent hanging around, Sunday was spent at church and visiting some friends, and on Monday we decided to spend some time together visiting the new Children's Museum of Phoenix. We had a great time, especially Savvy.

Savannah spent a whole hour in the "under 3 years old" room. There were two rooms that we didn't play in at all and 5 more that are opening soon, so Eric bought me a year pass so that I can take the girls anytime I want. What a nice husband-- I think that he's heard too many stories about how I almost strangled Savvy or myself lately. Savannah gets bored at home and then gets into trouble. I think we'll be going every week from now on, so anyone who wants to join us is welcome! It is lots of fun!

This weekend I also decided that something needed to happen with Savvy's hair. Even after washing it, curling it out and brushing it many times throughout the day, it looks like this:
I curled it under instead of flipping it out and I curled her bangs. I think she looks cute. Eric thinks she looks like an old woman. At least she looks like she's taken care of:
