Right Now

Right now Vanessa is sleeping soundly after a rare fit. I think she's teething. Weird. Especially because Savannah didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 1/2 months old. But I am seeing every day that these two girls are as different as night and day. I comforted her while she fell asleep. She should sleep for at least an hour.

Right now Savannah is crying in her room. It's definitely time for a nap, but she thinks otherwise. I keep shopping around for a bed for her, but then I think of times like this where she won't go to sleep in her crib-- which would not get any easier with a bed she can get out of. She is still trying my patience and I just don't know how to get through to her (I can hear my mother and sister laughing right now). All I can do it take a deep breath and hope she sleeps for at least a few minutes or else she'll be even more fun this evening.

Right now Eric is at work. He finished school around 1:00 and called me when he got to work to say hi. He forgot for "5 seconds" that it was our anniversary today... but he did say that he had been thinking about it all morning. I laughed. We technically already celebrated on Saturday while Chad watched the girls, but I think we'll have a nice dinner tonight. Savvy and I made heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies this morning, so he'll enjoy those when he finally comes home this evening.

Right now I should be doing a handful of things. Mainly taking a shower and cleaning up the table so that we can eat on it tonight. My scrapbooking stuff has been out for over a week now. I'm sorting through it before I put it away in order to bring what I want to CA this weekend. I have to fit whatever I want to bring in my suitcase for my flight with my dad and the girls. My hands will already be a little full with the diaper bag and the girls, so I don't want to have to carry any craft stuff on the plane. It's a good thing that my mom's craft room looks like Hobby Lobby and she likes to share. Anyways, instead of doing all those things, I'm sitting at the computer taking a breather...

I wish I had your perseverence of working on your scrapbook. Mine has been sitting on the shelf for a year now. I look at it all the time and then never do anything about it.

Sometimes it's nice to just sit, huh?

Happy (late) anniversary!
