18 Months

Savannah is 18 months today. Eric and I are just amazed that she is already so big. She's quite the character now too. She can say mom, dad, apple, no, bear, ball, Sabby, oww, mmm (when she's ready to eat), hi, baby and night. She does all the motions to the songs Itsy Bitsy Spider, Patty Cake, Popcorn Popping, If You're Happy, and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. She can point out her eyes, ears, nose, teeth, belly button, hair, hands and feet. She makes animal noises for a dog, cat, horse, cow, elephant, crocodile, snake, bunny (where she tries to wiggles her nose), bird, tiger and lion. She makes friends with anyone and everyone... she's not shy at all! Last night she walked up to a perfect stranger and tried to feed him a grape. She is VERY determined to do what she wants, especially when it's not something her mom and dad want her to do.Savvy is adventurous. She's always climbing on rocks, up and down hills, etc. You would think she was beaten at home with how many bruises she has on any given day. We do take good care of her... and we do watch her, even though it doesn't look like it. The latest accident involved the concrete patio and a bike that's not supposed to be stood on.
Savvy has no fear at all, especially in the swimming pool. She sure has a lot of fun splashing. She also loves to be tossed around by her dad. When we drive with the windows down, Savvy puts her hands up like she's on a roller coaster. Savvy loves to wear our shoes, try to put on makeup and brush her hair. If you don't have shoes on, Savvy will go get a pair of socks and shoes for you... that way you're always ready to go outside.
Savvy makes us happy. We sure didn't think she would be in our family by now, but we wouldn't change anything about how our lives have turned out so far.

Our house has been busy lately. All three of us had doctor appointments this week. Savvy had her 18-month checkup. She's 26.5 pounds (75%), 34 inches tall (95%) and growing perfectly. She sprouted 4 molars this week which was super fun. Hopefully one day she'll get the rest of her teeth. I had my 34 week appointment at the OB. I won't share how much I weigh, but the baby is doing great and everything is progressing like normal. Eric met with an orthopedic doctor yesterday to chat about the torn ligament he sustained in his left knee last week. He'll get an MRI next week and from there we'll see if he can do physical therapy or if he needs surgery to repair it. He's still limping around and there's a constant argument about who should do more walking-- the pregnant wife or the limping husband. Savvy's been taking good care of her dad... she pats his knee while it's being iced.
We're enjoying the warm weather and welcome any visitors who need to defrost. There's always excitement at this house!

that is a great post. I am sure savvy will enjoy having that information written down one day. Glad you are feeling well. Are you guys going anywhere for Easter?

You guys have a million things going on. Crazy how everyone has to go to the doctor. Hope things go well for Eric's knee. Savvy sure is a cutie. How nice that she's so friendly. Can't wait to see you guys in just two days!

I can't believe how big she is and all that she can do. That sounds like so much fun.
