turn on The Jungle Book.
Savvy has fallen in love with Baloo, Mowgli, Bagheera, and especially King Louie. Since she's tall enough to reach the DVDs, she pulls all of the Disney movies down, studying the covers, until she finds her beloved and then carries it around yelling, "ma ma ma" to indicate that she would like to watch it AGAIN.
And since Savvy and I occasionally have a hard time getting along during the last hour or so before Eric comes home from work (cranky child vs. pregnant tired mom), I am happy to let her relax and watch it while I make dinner or finish my latest project that I didn't get done during her nap. It beats having her stand at my feet and pat my belly in protest because I won't pick her up.

I was babysitting a little boy today who brought over "The Jungle Book". We watched it for a few minutes. Kaiya was only interested in the music parts. Sure wish she could find a show that she was happy to just sit and watch for a bit. Every mom needs that.
Don't you hate that hour before dad comes home. He always seems to come home one hour too late... no matter what time it is.
I love how she took out all her toys and the bin and replaced it with herself :-)
and it is also nice that she seems to be good about not messing with you cute crafty decorations (like the tree thing in the left of the picture)
maybe we can try Haylie and Savannah watching Jungle Book together while we do our Family project next week. (as long as Haylie doesn't "touch" Savannah)
I love the picture of her with all the blankets around her. That's funny you guys "don't get along" sometimes. That just makes me laugh picturing that.
Thank goodness for cute movies like that. Our "last hour" show is the two Little People videos we have - works every time. :)
Too cute-Hope you are feeling ok!
Hi Jenny,
Don't fall over, this is your cousin Bryan. I just had to comment because Jungle Book is one of Joshua's very favorite movies. He loves to walk like the elephants and sing the songs. When he was in Utah over the break he had to watch that movie almost every evening with my Dad. Anyway, I hope things are going well for y'all there in Arizona. It's been fun to read your blog and see what is going on. Congratulations with the new little one and good luck! Have a great weekend.
Bryan
